AI & Platforms / Copilot readiness

Check who can open what before Copilot goes wider.

Copilot draws on the Microsoft 365 content each person already has permission to open. We find what's shared too widely, fix it, then roll Copilot out with training for people beyond the executive team.

What prompts a Copilot readiness assessment

Security won't sign off a wider rollout.

After years of open team sites, shared folders and files saved in the wrong place, nobody can say for certain who can open what. Copilot makes those files easier to find.

Leaders want Copilot for everyone.

A few executives have tried it and want it across the organisation. Every new licence is one more person who can ask Copilot about whatever their permissions allow.

Copilot licences are going unused.

Licences bought for a pilot sit idle when people don't know what to ask. We train people by role and track who uses Copilot, so you can see which licences are worth keeping.

What Copilot can find

Copilot finds the Microsoft 365 files you have access to, including ones shared too widely.

What's the CEO's salary?

A hypothetical question. Anyone with Copilot can type it; what comes back depends on the files they can open.

The CEO's salary could be sitting in a file saved in the wrong place years ago. Finding it used to mean knowing where to look. Now anyone the file was shared with can bring it up with a plain question.

How we get Microsoft 365 ready for Copilot

  1. Check who can open what

We use Microsoft Purview to find sensitive files in Microsoft 365 and see who can open them.

  2. Fix the oversharing

We close up sites and folders that too many people can open, and apply sensitivity labels to the files that need them.

  3. Roll Copilot out, with training

Copilot goes to the teams that will use it, with training built around their own tasks.

  4. Track how it's used

Usage reports show which teams use Copilot and which have stalled, so you can judge where it's worth the licence.

The Copilot readiness assessment

What you get
We look at oversharing, how sensitive files are labelled and kept, and whether your identities and devices are ready for Copilot. You get a plan for fixing what we find and rolling Copilot out. We can do that work too, quoted separately.
What it costs
It's a fixed-scope project: before it starts, we agree with you what's included and what it costs.
What happens next
Tell us roughly how many people use Microsoft 365 and where you are with Copilot. We'll call to talk it through and propose the assessment.

Questions about Copilot readiness

Will Copilot show people files they shouldn't see?

It only draws on Microsoft 365 content the person already has permission to open. The risk is content shared more widely than it should be, and that's what the assessment looks for.

We've already rolled Copilot out. Is it too late?

No. We can check permissions while Copilot is in use, fix what we find and help the teams that haven't started using it.

Does Copilot reach systems outside Microsoft 365?

It reaches your other business systems only through connectors or agents your organisation sets up. Each one widens what Copilot can reach, so it needs the same check.

Do we need a Copilot licence for everyone?

No. Start with the teams that will use it most and add licences as use grows. Our licensing team can match licences to how people work.

Start with who can open what.

You might be piloting Copilot, planning a wider rollout or yet to start. Tell us who's involved and what concerns you about access, and we'll call to explain what the assessment would cover.
